December R.E.P.O.R.T.: What I Read, Created, and Refined This Month

Hey friends!

Welcome back to another post. Today we're talking about all my favorite things and moments from the month of December. This will also likely be one of the last blog posts of this year, so thank you for your support and for continuously showing up. We'll do things in the format of a monthly R.E.P.O.R.T., which means that each letter stands for something different:

  • Reading

  • Editing

  • Playing

  • Obsessing

  • Recommending

  • Tweaking

All of these are pretty self-explanatory, so let's jump into it.

Reading: The 12 Week Year by Brian P. M. & Michael L.

I've been listening to this audiobook and I've been loving it. I wanted to have a different way to plan my life in 2026, so this has been really helpful. The idea of the book is a short-term focus, and as someone who struggles with ADHD, it is very nice to have a way to plan for a shorter period of time. This is really shifting the way I think about goal-planning and yearly planning. I still have a little bit to finish it, I think about 2 hours left, so I'm excited to keep going.

Editing: Content for TCA

If you didn't know, I've built a separate brand called TheCraftyArchives, where I basically talk about all things productivity, planning, bullet journaling, and crafts. For the month of December, I wanted to aim for a post every single day, which I've done successfully for the most part.

Playing: Cozy YouTube & Creative Reset Time

December was very much a play month for me in the sense of slowing down and letting myself enjoy content again. I spent a lot of evenings watching my favorite cozy YouTubers while journaling, crafting, or just resting. It reminded me that creativity doesn’t always have to be productive — sometimes it’s just about letting yourself enjoy what inspires you.

Obsessing: My New Bullet Journal

I don’t think this will surprise anyone, but I am currently very obsessed with my new bullet journal. There’s just something about fresh pages, new supplies, and the excitement of setting intentions for a new year. I’ve been taking my time with it, letting it evolve naturally instead of rushing to fill every page — and honestly, that mindset shift has been really refreshing.

Recommending: Gentle Planning & Short-Term Focus

If there’s one thing I’d recommend coming out of this month, it’s embracing shorter planning cycles and gentler productivity. Whether that’s the 12-week mindset, weekly resets, or just checking in with yourself more often — it’s been so helpful for my ADHD brain. You don’t need to have the whole year figured out to make meaningful progress.

Tweaking: My Notion & Content Systems

Lastly, December was all about tweaking — mostly how I organize my Notion dashboards and content calendars. Nothing major, just small adjustments to make things feel easier and more intuitive. I’m learning that systems should work for you, not against you, and it’s okay to constantly refine them as your life changes.

So, what now?

That’s it for my December R.E.P.O.R.T. 💌 Thank you for being here, reading along, and supporting this little cozy corner of the internet. I’m really excited for what’s coming next — and I can’t wait to take you with me into the new year.

If you’re reading this, thank you for being here. I’d love to know what your December looked like — what you read, created, or found comfort in. Feel free to leave a comment or send me a message. This space is always open for slow creativity and shared moments.
