Yearly Reflections: 3 Biggest Lessons from 2025 I'll Carry To 2026

Hey there, friend!

Happy New Year 🥳🎉 I pray this new year brings you a ton of joy and happiness - you deserve it.

To bring some type of closure for my blog for this new year, I wanted to share 3 lessons that I learned from this year and wanted to reflect here with you. I hope you enjoy your time here with me today. Also, feel free to write in the comments the lessons you learned this past year.

Lesson 1: Creativity comes in many forms... and times.

Reminding yourself that creativity is almost like a flow can really help with the pressure we often put on ourselves to create or to react a certain way. Within this process itself there comes a ton of challenges. Not only that, but creativity also has so many different ways in which it can be expressed and celebrated. Even if we, as Christians, think of it as a form of worship, that can be a way to encourage us to always be doing your best.

Lesson 2: Christianity is about having a relationship with God and loving others.

I feel like this is what we're called to do. Actually, no, I don't feel, I know because that's what the Bible says. So many times we overcomplicate things when God told us to focus on Him and loving others and everything else would come as a consequence of these things. I want to encourage you today to do a single task that shows your love to someone else, whoever it may be, and even if it's as small as sending them an encouraging message for the week.

Lesson 3: Listen to your body... Before you're forced to.

We spend so much time hustling and working that we forget to care for our bodies, our temples, and the place we spend the most time in. I’ve gotten seriously sick from not pausing when I was supposed to. Take time to listen to it. As I do therapy, I learn different ways everyday that my body shows that I'm reaching my limit. I encourage you to also take some time to listen to your body, notice the signals it's sending you, and work on practicing breaks and intentional relaxation time. You need a break, whether you want to admit it or not. Time for recovery can be just as productive as hustle time. Remember that!

Thank you for being here. I hope you found these useful and are able to apply them to your life. Remember to love others, do your best, and like always...
